These Terms of Service govern your use of definedebug.com and the design and development services provided by DefineDebug ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
Our services
We provide mobile app development, website development, web application and SaaS development, UI/UX design, and maintenance and support services. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline and price of each project are set out in a written proposal or agreement, which takes priority over these general terms if they conflict.
Quotes and project scope
Quotes are based on the requirements agreed during discovery. Work requested outside the agreed scope is treated as a change request and may affect cost and timeline. We will always confirm any change with you in writing before starting it.
Payments
Unless otherwise agreed, projects are billed by milestone:
- 30% upfront to begin the project
- 40% at design / prototype sign-off
- 30% on final delivery
Work may be paused if a payment is overdue. Retainer and support plans are billed as stated in their agreement.
Client responsibilities
To keep the project on schedule, you agree to provide content, feedback, approvals and access to required accounts (such as App Store, Play Store, hosting or domain accounts) in a timely manner. Delays in these may extend the timeline.
Ownership of work
Once all payments for a project are complete, you receive full ownership of the custom source code, designs and assets created for you, along with documentation. Third-party libraries, open-source components, fonts and services remain subject to their own licences. Unless you ask us not to, we may mention the project in our portfolio.
Confidentiality
We keep your business information and project details confidential and will sign an NDA on request.
Warranty and support
Each project includes a free 30-day bug-fix period after launch, covering defects in the work we delivered against the agreed scope. New features, changes to requirements, and issues caused by third-party services, platform updates or changes made by others are not covered, but can be handled under a support plan.
App store approval
We follow Apple App Store and Google Play guidelines and handle submission, but final approval is decided by Apple and Google and is outside our control.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DefineDebug is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability for any project is limited to the amount paid to us for that project.
Termination
Either party may end a project with written notice. You will pay for work completed up to the termination date, and we will hand over the completed work for which payment has been received.
